Eminem x Kenrdick Lamar Tour

Eminem's "Rapture" stadium tour has added dates.

On Sunday (October 21), the tour was announced as aone-day event featuring Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, 360, Action Bronson and Chance the Rapper. However, today, it was announced that Eminem is set to headline four stadium shows in February, as per billboard.com.

The tour will now include Aukland, New Zealand and Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney in Australia.  

The supporting acts for the tour were reportedly selected by Eminem.

"Eminem has handpicked the now and the next for the debut dose of 'Rapture,'" showbiz.com.au said recently.

New Zealand rapper David Dallas confirmed participation on the tour when he spoke regarding Eminem's influence today (October 21).

“I’m pretty stoked,” Dallas told Billboard of the tour. “Eminem has generations of fans in New Zealand. He’s never been here, so it’s going to be huge." 

In June, 360 spoke with billboard.com about breaking into the Hip Hop scene in North America as an Australian rapper.

“When Eminem came out, it was a fresh thing to America, a White rapper who was big," 360 said. "But at first glance it looked like a gimmick. When people dug deeper, you realized the dude was as talented as fuck. I think it’ll be a similar situation where an Aussie rapper will come out. It’ll [initially] be a gimmick because it’s an Aussie rapper, but then they’ll realize the guy can actually make music. That’s a goal.”

Kendrick Lamar is slated to appear on Eminem's upcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which is scheduled for a November 5 release. The two are slated to collaborate on a selection titled "Love Game."

In August, Lamar spoke regarding Eminem's advice.

"Everybody knows Eminem's penmanship is insane, so I think, for the most part, he focused on that as much as possible," Lamar said during an interview with Los Angeles radio station Power 106. "That was the game that he was giving me and my crew. Always stay focused on the craft and not indulge in all the other crazy stuff that comes around."

J. Cole opened for Eminem and Jay Z when the two emcees performed in New York's Yankees Stadium in 2010.  

The line-up for each show has yet to be confirmed.

It was another slow week but there were a few announcements regarding mixtape release dates.

Da Mafia 6ix, a group comprised of all original members of Three 6 Mafia minus Juicy J, announced the release date of their upcoming project 6ix Commandments. October 29 will be the drop date for the tape.

Houston, Texas native Trae Tha Truth will release his latest mixtape in late November. I Am King will drop on November 25.

Eddie B and Harry Fraud will release The Johnny Utah Story, a collaborative mixtape on Monday.

After nearly three years off from solo full-length albums, Da Odd Squad/Coughee Brothaz court jester is back with a 2013 LP. Now a release date has been provided along with a stream.

Veteran Houston, Texas-based emcee/producer Devin The Dude has been relatively quiet since 2010 in the way of full-length albums. The Odd Squad/Coughee Brothazfront-man last released Gotta Be Me in November of that year, his second effort in less than nine months, followingSuite #420. Both efforts debuted on the Top 200. He did put out his first EP, Seriously Trippin', last May.

This morning the former Rap-A-Lot Records artist and collaborator with Dr. Dre, Big K.R.I.T. and Young Jeezy announced his eighth solo album, One For The Road.

Devin shared the news via Twitter, and projected the release to come in September.

He also released the project for free download but the amount of support he received from people willing to purchase was a surprise.
